The architectural studio led by Miroslav Kusý and Pavel Paňák provides comprehensive design and engineering services, ranging from small interventions to acting as the lead architect. In 2005, the studio won a public competition for the reconstruction and expansion of the SNG complex.

The international jury recognized the complexity, clarity, and creativity of the winning proposal. They noted that the architects transformed the previously enclosed complex into an open, city-shaping structure—an “inviting” institution that seamlessly integrates with the ground level and pedestrian area of the city. While respecting the bold architectural gesture of Vladimír Dedeček, the architects brought it into a contemporary, refreshed, and refined context.

After numerous delays, the reconstruction of the SNG officially began in December 2015. The grand opening of the gallery took place in December 2022.
